Over The Top: Challenge of Strength

We’re raising weights to raise money for Courage MKE – join us as we celebrate all our different strengths for a great cause. This is a family-friendly event, we encourage all to attend and to be yourself. All forms of self-expression will be encouraged for the competitors as well as spectators

Courage MKE is a collaborative movement to provide housing, resources, and services displaced and homeless LGBTQ+ youth need to thrive. In 2019, Courage MKE opened Wisconsin’s first home for displaced LGBTQ+ youth. These youth are often coming from a number of foster or group homes that are unable or unwilling to provide safe, affirming care. Courage MKE has recently purchased a second location which is currently being made into apartments for homeless LGBTQ young adults aged 18-24. They will be provided a safe space while they work or go to school with access to support, community, valuable life skills, and other resources.
