Karma Hour – Wild Connections
Tuesday, February 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us each Tuesday night in the Bristol Pub when we invite a local non-profit to tell you who they are, what they stand for, and how they’re making Colorado Springs better.
On February 13, we’ll be highlighting Wild Connections as our local nonprofit.
We’ll donate one dollar per pint sold between 6:00 and 8:00 to their cause. So come in, buy a pint, and support the good work that’s being done in our community. Doing good never tasted better!
Wild Connections was founded in 1995 to identify, protect and restore the areas that are needed to ensure the survival of native species and ecological richness of the Upper Arkansas and South Platte watersheds in central Colorado.
In this region stretching from Denver and Leadville to the New Mexico state line, the Pike-San Isabel National Forest and the BLM Royal Gorge Field Office administer 2,780,000 acres of federal lands (55% of the total land), including 445,600 acres of Congressionally designated Wilderness and an additional 771,000 acres of wild roadless areas. Virtually every western ecosystem is represented with many rare plants and a plethora of resident and migrant animal species.
